A little before my senior year in high school I felt the calling toward practicing Traditional Oriental medicine. I do not remember why but I followed that path. Graduating Dongguk-Royal University in 2003 with my Masters in Science in Oriental medicine I started practicing the amazing art of acupuncture and herbal medicines.
For three years I practiced with several affluent orthopedic surgeons, chiropractors and physical therapists to manage and rehab patients that had experienced physical trauma and were dealing with chronic pain. Working in this environment I realized that chronic pain was much more complex than just the physical aspect of it and learned the fine lines between the body-mind-spirit connection.
I also wanted to be a part of a community that promotes prevention and wellness before illness strikes. With these ideas in mind I went back to school while maintaining my private practice. In 2007 I become one of the first people in our country to have obtained a Doctorate in Acupuncture and Oriental medicine.
Since then I have started a practice in Mill Valley where I get to spend time with my patients; working with them to find health and vitality. I also enjoy the responsibility of teaching beginning students the beautiful art of Oriental medicine at the Acupuncture and Integrative Medicine School of Berkeley. In my spare time I am an avid backpacker and enjoy spending time in my vegetable garden where I grow a major (and Tasty) part of my diet.
Please feel absolutely free to call or email me for appointments or even just to ask a question about your health.
Thanks,
